With a multidisciplinary team AREP is carrying out a feasibility and technical assistance study on behalf of AFD for the development of an integrated sustainable mobility project on Thailand's largest island, Phuket.

This SUTHRE - Sustainable Urban Transport and Heritage Project has been conducted since February in coordination with an international multidisciplinary team composed of DVDH (Des Villes et des Hommes) and Egis' Bangkok office.
In addition to the study of several scenarios for urban public transport systems, the mission includes support to the Thai national and local authorities.

AREP's in-depth expertise in urban planning, heritage and flow management is particularly sought after in this study, which takes into account technical, financial and institutional dimensions as well as urban and landscape integration, heritage, and social and environmental impacts.

A fine example of multidisciplinary international cooperation carried out despite the pandemic context, this project reinforces the positioning of AREP South Asia, AREP's subsidiary based in Vietnam, as a leader in the integrated and sustainable urban development of public transport in South East Asia.
